Dear friend, I am sending you lightness today. I don't know about you, but my routine has grown inconsistent and my whole mental state just a little wonky. I feel a great swinging - from the state of our old habits and patterns, to a heightened sense of expectation: an excitement that we get to do it better, different, more intentionally and creative. Our paradox is in the shift: how do we get present and be mindful and vigilant of what we are being asked to do right now, AND create play and lightness in our lives... at the very same time? We have a choice. Today I want to support you in leaning into the light. Even now. Even at this very moment, and I don't mean in a non-tangible way. With every cell in my being, I believe this is the only way forward as light beings. We get to choose to focus on where we can show up... and do what we can to support our community and those we love. ✨We get to use our gifts and natural talents, to show up in a way that serves all. While we are physical distanced, we do not need to feel emotionally and mentally disconnected. Create more pathways for growth together; use play, games, adventure to facilitate talks. 💧Diffuse oils that boost your own sense of calm and expansiveness. ✨Send texts to your friends, family, co-workers, let others know you are thinking of them. 🌱Plant a garden and boost it by harvesting any finished compost you have created over the last year with food scraps. ✨Throw mini impromptu dance parties. We really love Abba in the kitchen, while diffusing citrus oils and elevating our family time! 💧Check on your neighbors, be the answer to someone's prayers, as that person helping and supporting with running errands or sharing abundance. 🌱Increase your intake of organic fruits and vegetables during this time. ✨Take only what you need from the stores. 💧Set up your daily routine to upp self-care: moving your body, finding stillness, detoxing your body and home, supporting your biorhythms and getting eight hours of sleep each night to boost your natural immunity. In these uncertain and volatile times, it can be so easy to focus on the external sources of chaos, stress, pain and suffering. News from all over the world, adding to our feelings of overwhelm and helplessness. And yet… are ANY times not uncertain? There is a crescendo happening, my tribe. A crescendo that is greatly impacting our sensitives. Our young. Our middle aged. Our aging. A tidal wave of perceived crisis and confusion. Our sensibilities are being muddied by this tidal wave as post after post, crashes over our bow. We have been swept up into this frenzy, fed by social media and instant news from around the world, all the time, at all hours. People are vibrating higher and more shrilly than ever before: could it be the 5G? the internet and wifii signals everywhere? The collective consciousness? GMO foods? Nonstop device attention? All. Of. It. Hits Us. Our nervous system, limbic system. Locking us into constant adrenaline/ flight or fight. How do we counter this? I’m not suggesting we put our heads in the sand. Bypassing anything. Just consider the fact that we are electric beings. Magnetic. Energetic. And we are all connected. This makes it crucial to get our own emotional systems in order, tend our own garden, before reacting/responding to the outside world. So we may find balance before we take in the storms of the outer world. What can be done? Focus inward, within the home. How can we best refill our wellspring and boost our family's immunity naturally? We need to tend our own wellness. Our own emotional and physical state, before we can truly help anyone else. I look to the wellness pyramid for clues: eat well. Yes Gladys, 12 servings of veggies and fruits each day. Sleep well and manage our stress responses. Get plenty of exercise, which can help us shed the skin of stress also, and clean our systems out. Detox our home and body. It all adds up! I encourage you to look into natural solutions. Find protection without causing secondary problems. Much of this can be soothed naturally: The oils in our OnGuard blend have been around since the Black Plague. They can help us remain resilient, if we use them in tandem with your other wellness steps. Melissa, or lemon balm, has been found effective in disrupting the life cycle of viruses. Our Oregano and Melaleuca, when used together, have been shown to be effective at slicing the cells of bacteria and virus open, killing the organisms. Beauty is still here. Love abounds and is overflowing. Inspiration is full circle and is all around us. Nature renews and is a source of divinity when we can spend our breaths in its presence. Simplicity. Clarity. Love. In this time of clarity and confusion, our inner muddy waters need to be stilled in order to settle and clear. I personally love a good mantra, a repeated phrase, used with my oils, to drill in and bring intention to my life-out loud. I make sticky notes with my focus phrase on them, and post them in my car, on the fridge, and on my bathroom mirror. I take three deep breaths with my head tilted back, deeply inhaling the aromas from my hands. Then, either sitting quietly, with a candle, or looking into the mirror and making eye contact with my own self. Quietly, or out loud, I repeat three times: “I now adopt the belief that all things work together for my good.” Breathe in peace as you say this, and see golden peace flowing over your body. As you do this, deepen your breaths so you continue opening to this idea and softening into your rhythmic flow of breath, of beauty, of your own soul’s essence.
Three minutes a day, working on breath. That’s all it takes, to change your DNA forever. This is my wish for you. My friend, take deep breaths and great care today. I will be staging some workshops for making your own hand sanitizer, using a recipe from the CDC over the next weeks. This can be a Super effective way to naturally be protective of our system.
