The Art of Living… in balanceThe art of living is a life lived as creatively as possible. Taking all of the various forms of art that we can squeeze out of our lives, each day becomes a collage, a mosaic, of all we create. Different shapes and colors, different light and frequencies of sound. Given the times we are in, “to thine own self be true” takes on a whole new meaning. If we are living a life of service to the higher good, this means take good care of this body so we are ready to serve the world. If we are not… then it means we only think of ourselves and those like us. Two different outcomes of self-care. One is exponentially elevated, so as to give from our saucer not cup. The other is not. The pressures of today’s time have been felt before, and this was historically where alchemy came in. Alchemy is the exerting of undue heat or pressure on a material to force purification. To force a change in substance, or transubstantiation, sometimes requires extreme conditions, to tease out the purest result. Alchemy in the gross sense, is material. Every alchemist knows, the real purification is that of spirit. Put through obtuse conditions, the human spirit can grow pure and recall memories from the past. Art more than Science, for certain. The day you begin a new life’s mission, path, or major project, can bring a giddy sense of adventure. As Liz Gilbert says of writing: ...day two can make you feel like leaving the planet. But if you wake up and begin writing again on day three, that is how you pick up and create a life. Bringing creativity into everything you do, that is an ArtFul life. Even on days when you might not create art. Nothing you’d call art, anyways. Do it anyways. And when you decide you just can’t take the viewpoint any longer, change it. Take a long deep breath, and shift your perspective. O’Sensei, the Founder of Aikido, talks about a whole new world existing in one breath. As in, one can change the outcome of any situation, with one reflective breath. Even a potential confrontation can become something unexpected when we shine in curiosity and self reflection as love. So if we are looking to live in a world in which decisions are made based on Love, maybe it just takes a breath. If we are posed with a decision, to respond and not react, maybe it is the most appropriate thing, for us to sit back and take a deep breath. Allow us to consider the other person’s point of view, to show curiosity for what this is about. And respond. From Love. So my friends, through smoke and blue skies, in this new fall season, the week of balance, let us breathe… adapt… elevate… Let’s support ourselves and our vision of the new world in the ways we know how. Focus on what we wish to create. More deep breathing = more calming. Hack that vagus nerve. 💧 (I use breathe oil in my mask and diffuser to remind me to breathe deeply) More changing conditions means growing sea legs and getting used to a rolling set of changes. 💧 (Daily, I take adaptiv capsules & diffuse adaptiv oil for helping my brain to shift gears easily) As the energetic worlds are shifting, we are asked daily to elevate. Our mood, thoughts, all. 💧 (YES to Elevation oil, the joyful blend. It was formulated to help with lowest of moods, this helps balance me a lot when I use it as body scent in times like these and breathe it in deeply) Wherever you are, I am sending love and hope. Lean on the tools you have, including me! If you are feeling compromised in any area of your life, please reach out... just hit reply, I'd love to help us all get through these times as well as possible. In Love and Hope, Balance and Elevation, Lynell Marie
