I Love to Feel Good in my Body. ...Strong, Energized, Vibrant, Clear. I use strength a lot as my barometer for how good I feel. Like there's nothing I CAN'T do, if I want to. This word is just not part of my vocabulary! If I feel strong, more lean, like I can do smaller daily activities to lead up to my more epic weekend adventures, then I feel good. So, to me, it seems like each of us wishing to live our highest lives means living into and more about whole health, fitness, diet, and true wellness. Everyone is different. How do YOU like to feel good? What is YOUR measuring stick? Did you know? Here in the U.S., some 80% of our $trillion healthcare expenses are spent on acute and reactionary medical care… while only 20% is spent on preventative wellness steps. This is the opposite of how a wellness lifestyle works! This country has SO much to learn about actual wellness (not just a buzzword or greenwashing term, as it has become). Here is our roadmap to making that change: 1. The very base is whole food nutrition to provide our bodies what is needed for full cellular functioning and recovery. The FDA says we now need 12 servings (!) of fruits and veggies each day, to get what we need from our food. 2. The next step is exercising and managing our metabolism, which also helps flush toxins, reduce stress and help us feel good by supporting our own levels of dopamine! 3. The very quality of our sleep is the next step, and good sleep provides us an ability to recover from hard efforts, and deal with stressors that come along without getting sick. 4. The next lifestyle step is reducing our toxic load, and that is one I love, both with organ cleanses for Internal toxins, and changing what we bring into our homes for External toxins, voluntarily. Our shopping habits. No one is forcing us to bring harmful chemicals into our homes, we have a choice. For the organ cleanse, I Love the doTerra 30-day cleanse… especially that it doesn’t hurt my belly! I went to Nepal for a long-term yoga program that included a neti / cleanse segment. It was intense! and made my belly so sensitive and painful if I ate anything with any slight spice. This doTerra cleanse was so well thought out and supported with enzymes and probiotics and cleansing oils, this was the first for me - which was pain free! 5/6. You see the top two colors, these are health care steps. (Like the BBC videos back in 2004 that came out touting "Is Frankincense the next cure for cancer?" -well maybe not off the couch, without eating right and exercise! but... if we have followed the steps below this proactive medical care crescendo, we can often avoid some of the medical challenges caused by unhealth-full living. If we are tuned up, we may well be able to utilize alternatives for proactive medical care as well… but really, only if we are embracing a full wellness lifestyle. Only good can come of this. Think of an analogy that you are being slowly poisoned, but you are introducing it to yourself and you actually either are oblivious to it, or you enjoy the process of poisoning. You want a doctor to make you feel better and make the symptoms go away, but you will not change your exposure to said poison. How do you think it will go in the long run? Let's do some creative problem solving together! Reach out if I can help YOU figure out and get started on YOUR wellness path. We can either weave the steps in to what you are already doing, or overhaul your routine into the most supportive and healthful program just for YOU. I look forward to it! Until then, be well...
